A Parent’s Guide to Racing Fever: Moto

Racing Fever Moto by Gameguru

Type: Racing, Motorcycle

Basic Idea: The player is a motorcyclist who races down other people

Quality

Game Play: 4½/5 Well Done: The game play is challenging with its style of playing, which includes tilting the screen while pressing a button to speed up. There are races of different types besides just normal racing, and there are other modes such as multiplayer and runaway. There are also ways to customize your car.

Graphics: 4/5 Well Done: The graphics were 3-D style that is on par with PSP or 3-DS quality graphics, with drawings of people that were both accurate and detailed.

Music: 3/5 Average: The music is store style rock background. There is nothing really memorable about it.

Overall: 4/5 Well Done: I would have to say this is one of the best racing games I have ever seen as an app. I would recommend it to boys eight and up for quality.

Moral Content

Sexual and Inappropriate Content: ½/5 Light Immodesty: A man has a vest over his bare chest.

Violence: 0/5 none

Swearing and Using the Lord’s Name in Vain: 0/5 None

Emotional, Intense, and Disturbing Content: ½/5 Characters can crash, causing the screen to look cracked.

Religious Issues: 0/5 None

Magic: ½/5 A man has a dragon tattoo.

Others: There is rock music with drums. Men sometimes have long hair and/or tattoos.

There is a mode where the character is in a car trying to outrun the police

Overall: ½/5 All Ages Appropriate: For the most part, there is nothing too morally objective, though some may not like the rock music and overall backstreet city theme. The only thing I really did not like was the mode that one tries to run from the police. I believed that was a little inappropriate and adds to the anarchist attitude of today’s teenagers.
