A Parent’s Guide to ChuChu TV Nursery Rhymes & Kids Songs (Youtube Channel)

IMPORTANT: I have not watched every video on this channel, but I have watched several. This article was made to get a general feel of the channel, and probably does not record everything that specifically happens on the channel.

ChuChu TV Nursery Rhymes & Kids Songs

Types: Educational, Songs

Songs: 3½/5 Well Done: Songs are both educational, original, and cheerful. Old songs are given new lyrics, while the channel also has a healthy dose of original songs. The lyrics are at times a little awkward and the singing a bit annoying but had kid’s appeal with its cheerful, encouraging tones.

Graphics: 4/5 Well Done: Graphics are smooth and vivid, with lots of cheerfulness and expression common to children’s TV shows. The graphics range from 3-D styles of families and underwater to flat ones of children and animals. This puzzles me a little, as I feel like consistency personally would be better, but both styles of art are done satisfactorily or more.

Morals: 3/5 Mostly Good Morals: Besides being educational, the songs encourage children to be kind, to be clean, and to have good manners. The only song I personally was not a fan of was the popular Johny Johny Yes Papa, as there were no negative consequences for lying, but other than that the channel is chock full of songs with good morals.

Overall: 3½/5 Above Average: For a kid’s channel, this one has fairly good graphics, original yet familiar songs, and good lessons. I would definitely recommend it for children that want songs for learning and fun. Though better at graphics than some Youtube kid’s channels I have seen, do expect some of the cringe that can be found on other channels.

Moral Content

Sexual and Inappropriate Content: ½/5 Slightly Suggestive Clothing: Characters are shirtless and show their stomach at the beach.

Violence: 0/5 None

Swearing and Using the Lord’s Name in Vain: 0/5 None

Emotional, Intense, and Disturbing Content: ½/5 Some Lightly Scary Content: Characters get scared of sharks, which makes the non-scary sharks sad.

Religious Issues: 0/5 None

Magic: ½/5 Some Use: One opening has a cupid, fairy creature in it that has a candy wand.

Others: Some songs have a beat. Characters dance and mention it verbally.

Overall: ½/5 All Ages Appropriate: This channel is appropriate for children of all ages.
